Vintage Franciscan Apple covered sugar bowl featuring the classic hand-decorated red apple, green leaves, brown branches, and sculpted branch-style handles. The fitted lid is topped with a coordinating red apple-shaped knob.
This is an older California-made USA example with the earlier Franciscan backstamp. The bowl holds approximately 8 ounces and measures about 3 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches tall with the lid in place.
It is in good pre-owned vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age and normal use. No chips, cracks, or repairs were observed. The lid fits properly, and the hand-painted decoration remains bright and attractive. Small variations in the artwork are part of the charm of genuinely hand-decorated Franciscan pieces rather than evidence that the apples had an argument at the factory.
