Red Kerce was the official photographer for the State of Florida from the late 1940s through the 1960s and took the definitive images of the mansion during the LeRoy Collins, Farris Bryant, and early Haydon Burns administrations. This exact view (with the original 1907 wrought-iron fence still in place) is the classic image that hung in many state offices and homes in that era.
