Heavy Vintage Hand-Forged Boar/Bear Hunting Spear Blade – Mid-Century
This is the real deal—an extremely substantial vintage hand-forged hunting spear blade made for traditional boar or bear hunting.
This is NOT a lightweight decorative replica or reenactment piece. At just under 14" overall and weighing an incredible 1 lb 6.5 oz, this is thick, solid, heavy-duty carbon steel with serious weight in the hand.
The blade features a broad spear-point profile with multiple deep hand-worked fullers running through the center. The heavy flat tang has two original pin holes for secure mounting.
This blade was found completely submerged in oil, where it had been stored for preservation. It has been removed and lightly wiped down, revealing beautifully preserved steel with excellent vintage patina, forge texture and character.
