Condition: Used | Original 1940-41 paper pass with age toning, light soiling, rounded corners, small edge creases, tiny edge nicks and a pencil price notation on reverse upper corner. Card intact and fully legible.

Front side reads \'Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Company\' with red \'1940-1941\' date, pass number 381, and personalized line \'Pass C. T. Jaffray, Chmn., MSTP&SSM RY. CO., Between ALL STATIONS\'.
Additional front text notes validity until December 31st 1941 subject to conditions on back, along with countersignature line naming C. B. Miller and H. V. Abernethy and a printed president title and signature.
Reverse is headed \'Conditions\' and carries detailed legal language about revocation, free transportation, and the requirement that the holder sign in ink or indelible pencil for the pass to be good.
