Description Offered for your consideration is a EUC (Excellent Used Condition) vintage motion lamp. The lamp bears images of 3 different sailing vessels.  Included are the Mayflower, Old Ironsided and a Wind Jammer.  Although the lamp is unbranded, it is very much in the design of the Econolite and Goodman lamps of the 1950s, but I do not believe that it is from the 1950s.  I would guess that the lamp is more likely a product of the 1960-70s era.  The lamp is created with a hard plastic outer shade and a more pliable plastic cylinder. The cylinders sit on a plastic base, with a metal post for the inner cylinder placement. The \'motion\' of the lamp is created when the heat from a light bulb causes the inner cylinder to spin. The lamp sits on 4 integrated feet.  There is an on/off switch incorporated in the cord. The lamp is in near excellent \'as found\' condition. It does show minor use and handling, though the color is vivid.  All of the graphics are complete.  There is NO melting or warping, which often occurs from use of a too high wattage light bulb, and there are NO cracks to either the inner or outer plastic cylinders.  The lamp does light, and the inner cylinder does spin, causing the illusion of the ships sailing.  For optimal results, a 40 watt incandescent bulb is recommended.  A higher watt bulb can result in melting of the plastic cylinders.  The lamp measures about 6 1/2\" x 5 1/2\" in an oval shape and stands about 10 3/4\" tall overall (meaning when placed on the base). The cord is about 6\' long. It has a total weight of about 14 ounces, and will ship at 3 pounds 6 ounces, as it will be double boxed for protection.
