**Item Overview:**
Up for sale is an authentic, 1920s–1930s vintage Durham Duplex safety razor set. The set features a heavy, beautifully knurled metal handle and its original cream-colored molded celluloid travel case. No blades are included.
**Detailed Condition Report:**
**Handle:** Excellent condition. The heavy cross-hatch knurling remains incredibly crisp and sharp to the touch. The smooth, flared ends retain a mirror-like finish with zero brassing or thinning from use.
**Guard & Top Cap:** Outstanding vintage condition. The plating is highly reflective, uniformly shiny, and free of spot plating loss, rust, or pitting. The factory-stamped branding is crisp and clear. All guard teeth are perfectly straight.
**Travel Case:** The exterior is structurally sound, the rear hinge functions perfectly, and the front clasp closes securely.
**Defects/Notes:**
1. Inside the lid, the curved plastic blade retaining arm on the right side has snapped/broken off (please see the close-up photo for exact details).
2. The case retains a distinct "band-aid" / medicinal camphor smell. This is completely normal for stable vintage celluloid plastics of this era and is not celluloid rot.
