Original vintage clear glass replacement globe for a Dietz kerosene/oil lantern.
Embossed markings include:

The LOC-NOB design incorporates the two molded glass projections or “knobs” on opposite sides of the globe. The design was patented by Frederick Dietz for R.E. Dietz Co. on March 10, 1914.
Measurements:
Height is 4.71\"
Top opening/shoulder: approximately 4\" outside diameter
Bottom opening/shoulder: approximately 3.41\" outside diameter
Vintage used condition with normal age and use wear. There is discoloration/residue around the upper rim and typical surface wear. Please inspect the photos closely for the exact condition of the rims and glass.
Sold as the glass globe only; lantern is not included.
Please compare the measurements with your lantern before purchasing, as Dietz produced a number of different globe sizes and styles.
Good vintage used condition. Glass is clear with normal age and use wear. There are several small flakes/chips around the edges of both the upper and lower rims, as shown in the photos. No major chips or cracks noted. Embossed DIETZ LOC-NOB / NEW YORK U.S.A. / R-16 / PAT. MAR. 10-14 markings remain visible.
