Vintage Deco 1938 General Electric Radio DG 60 Bluetooth Speaker Beautiful Wood For Sale

This is a 1938 General Electric radio modelDG 60 made in Bridgeport CT. This is one of the smallest slant front radios ever produced. It is unusual to find a radio from this era in this nice condition. This radio was a real barn find. Dirty but original finish. Removed the dirt & lightly sanded the case covering the original finish with semi gloss lacquer. The multiple types of wood veneer are now visible. The tiger stripe sections are stunning now. Again not perfect but original. Removed all of the non working radio parts to make way for the new electronics. I try to retain as much of the original look as possible. The original bakelite dial and volume discs on each side are OK not perfect but presents well. Polished up the brass bezels. Reused the original 6 bakelite station buttons. Used a piece of gold NOS speaker cloth that adds class. On the inside added a new 4\" Pioneer speaker. Added the on/off/volume knob on the left side. All coupled to a 50 watt digital stereo amp with the on/off/volume switch on the left. Made a new back panel. Look at the pics. This deco classic radio cooks now. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. The size & refinished case with the dial and speaker cloth is impressive. Measures a small 13 x 8 x 6.5. Let me know if you have any questions.
