Vintage Dechang Ceramics Chinese blue and white porcelain lidded decorative box featuring a bold floral and scrolling foliate design. The fitted domed lid is decorated with large stylized blossoms and leaves and is finished with a raised blue porcelain knob. Coordinating floral decoration continues around the sides of the container.
The underside bears a blue four-character boxed 德昌陶瓷 (Dechang Ceramics) maker’s mark. The piece displays attractive variations in cobalt blue against a white porcelain ground, giving it a traditional Chinese-inspired appearance.
