Vintage advertising shortening and ice cream scoop with a built-in bottle opener, promoting The Citizens National Bank of Urbana, Ohio.
The manufacturer’s mark reads “Remembrance B&B, St. Paul, Minn., U.S.A.” These promotional kitchen and bar utensils are generally associated with the mid-20th century.
Measures approximately 7¼ inches long.
The Citizens National Bank of Urbana advertising is clearly stamped into the handle. The opposite side carries the smaller B&B Remembrance maker’s mark.
Pre-owned vintage condition with considerable surface scratches, oxidation, dark spotting, discoloration, and areas of finish wear. The bottle opener and scoop remain intact, with no cracks or major bends observed. It has not been polished or restored.
An unusual piece of Urbana and Champaign County, Ohio banking history, as well as a collectible vintage advertising kitchen utensil.
