Beautiful vintage satin jacquard bedspread or coverlet in a rich saffron golden yellow, featuring an ornate tonal woven pattern and dramatic knotted netted fringe along the two long sides.
The overall look is very similar to vintage Italian silk and rayon jacquard bedspreads from the mid-century era, with a luminous satin sheen, substantial drape, and elaborate decorative fringe. Fiber content is unmarked and has not been independently verified, so this piece is being described as satin rather than confirmed silk.
This appears to have been handmade or custom finished. One side has an additional section of knotted netted fringe that has been folded beneath and sewn into place, adding to its unique vintage construction.
