Beautiful coordinating pair of vintage Chinese Wheat Stalk Cutting Pictures featuring detailed birds among flowering branches. The designs are created from very thin pieces of natural wheat stalk/straw that have been carefully cut, shaped and layered to form the birds, feathers, branches, blossoms and buds. The natural golden tones and sheen of the wheat contrast beautifully against the black backgrounds, with soft pink accents throughout the flowers and buds.
Both pieces retain their original labels on the reverse reading “WHEAT STALK CUTTING PICTURE.” The labels also show a specification of 9 x 11 and individual Art No. markings.
