Beautiful coordinating pair of vintage Chinese Satsuma-style porcelain vases with elaborate gold and raised moriage-style decoration.
One features a vivid cobalt blue ground covered in floral designs and intricate gold detailing. The second has a rust-red and gold ground surrounding colorful figural and landscape scenes with architecture, water and mountains.
Both feature flared rims, gold accents and handwritten Made in China marks on the bases. They coordinate beautifully but are not identical matching designs.
Colors remain strong and vibrant. The blue vase has several small areas of localized decoration loss as photographed; the scenic vase presents especially well.
