Vintage Dog Sculpture - Signed “© Jan Allan” along the bottom edge or flank.
- Cast plaster or chalkware English bulldog.
- Mantel or shelf-sitter size 5 inch x 5 inch x 4 inch.
- Hand painted white matte seated bulldog with black patches on the ears, eyes, and snout.
- 11.5 ounce cute little fellow is in good condition. The surface has vintage wear and light discoloration. The underside has some scuffs. There may be lint or dust on the surface.
Jan Allan is the professional pseudonym of New England artist Elisabeth Anne Philbrick Hall (1917–2009). The item was manufactured for the Contemporary Arts (CA) of Boston.
