Beautiful vintage Catholic religious devotional pair featuring a framed “The Parents of a Priest” poem together with a companion framed image of the Holy Family with St. Joseph, the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child.
“The Parents of a Priest” is a touching devotional poem celebrating the joy and sacrifice of parents whose son has entered the Catholic priesthood. The companion Holy Family image makes this an especially meaningful grouping for a priest, seminarian, Catholic family, rectory, parish display, or collector of vintage Catholic religious items.
Both pieces have attractive older decorative frames with naturally aged patina.
These appear to be vintage mid-20th-century pieces; exact date and maker are unknown.

Condition Notes:
Vintage condition with visible age and wear. Frames have scuffs, finish wear and patina. Artwork/paper has age-related toning/fading. The original-style paper backing on the Holy Family frame is significantly torn and deteriorated. Backing on the poem frame also shows age and wear. No restoration has been attempted.
