This is a charming pair of vintage-style cast iron bookends in the shape of a pig. This set is a split-body design with one part showcasing the front end and the other part is the back end of the pig. This set is perfect for primitive rustic, country cottage, or farmhouse decor!
These sturdy, heavy-duty bookends feature a classic Hampshire pig breed design. One piece displays the front end of the pig including this breed's natural "saddle" coloration across its shoulders, painted in an aged cream/tan tone over a solid black body. The second piece displays the back end of the pig and is primarily painted in an all-black color. Both pieces rest securely on green-painted bases molded to resemble grass.
Condition Details:
These bookends are in good vintage condition with plenty of rustic character. The painted finish features some authentic distressing, paint wear/loss, and age-related oxidation to the cream paint, enhancing their primitive appeal. No cracks or structural damage to the cast iron.
