Vintage Brown Betty Red-ware Teapot Moriage Flowers Hand Decorated Japan 4 Cup. This is approximately 5.75 inches tall including the lid. It holds approximately 4 cups or 32 fluid ounces. It has a very glossy glaze inside and outside. It is hand decorated with a moriage pattern in blue, red, green, pink and white to resemble flowers. There are metallic gold accents on the lid, handle, and spout. There’s a metallic gold hand-painted grid pattern behind the moriage flowers that resembles lace. . The moriage is in very nice condition with no wear. There is a half label at the bottom that is torn. The label says “ Made in Japan” and San Francisco. PLEASE NOTE there is a 1” long line that does not have any glaze and there is an area of tiny flecks that do not have any glaze. Both of these defects face the left handed pourer. I tried to capture these in the last pictures.
