Vintage Bronze Handmade Plaque of Eagle, Intaglio, Quarter Sawn Oak Frame For Sale

This handmade bronze plaque depicts an eagle in flight, holding an object that looks like a belt in one talon. The piece is done in intaglio relief, ie is is carved into the metal with no protusions. The piece is housed in a solid oak quarter sawn frame. The overall piece is heavy and substantial. Also it is very unique. There is no signature.Condition is very good, the oak frame has a bit of wear to the varnish, no other defects.Measurements are: frame: 9 3/4" by 7 3/4" and 7/8" thick, sight size is 6 1/4" by 4".
