Vintage Boxed Set of Royal Crown Derby “Asian Rose” Knives & Forks.Stunning matched set of 12 Small Place-setting Knives and Forks with Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Handles in the spirited “Asian Rose” Imari pattern (#8687). Introduced in 1910, this pattern quickly captured the market for luxury tableware. During the peak of its 20th-century production, 1950s and 1960s, it was frequently retailed by elite luxury purveyors like Tiffany & Co. in New York, solidifying its status as an elite status symbol for high-society dinner tables. Iron red, cobalt blue, with 22-carat gold, on a creamy-white, “fine English bone china” ground (suggesting pre-1960s production which shifted to a bright white porcelain ground). Each of the blades is stamped “Royal Crown Derby Made in England” with the crown logo and have a serrated stainless-steel blade. All blades, tines, and handles are all in pristine condition, showing no signs of use and/or extremely careful care. Fitted box, again in the pre-1960sform, and marked on the inside of the box \'Royal Crown Derby CHINA\'.
