Vintage cast-iron block plane with the classic large wooden palm-rest block at the rear and a brass front knob. The maker\'s medallion on the knob is worn smooth, so the plane is sold unbranded and identified by its design and measurements — please study the photos.
CONDITIONUsed, honest antique condition. The black japanning is mostly intact with edge wear. The sole is flat with patina and light corrosion spotting (see sole photos). The wooden palm rest has small age checks but is solid. The iron, wooden wedge and hook lever cap are all present, and the knurled depth wheel is in place. Untested for cutting and uncleaned — exactly as found.
