Original vintage textile salesman sample lot from Biltmore Textile Co. Inc., New York.
These fabric swatches were produced for the “Youngwear” clothing line and were shown to dress shops and manufacturers for selecting fabrics for children’s and junior garments. Each sample retains its original header card with style name, fiber content, and color sequence information.
The prints include florals, calicos, gingham checks, and paisley designs typical of late 1960s–1970s fashion and sewing patterns. Most are cotton/polyester blends (50/50) and Kodel polyester blends, reflecting the easy-care fabrics popular in ready-to-wear clothing of the era.
Because the identification cards remain attached, this set is both sewing material and garment-industry ephemera — wonderful for display, quilting, doll clothing, slow fashion projects, or framing in a sewing room.
