Vintage Bazar Français New York “666” copper skillet, measuring approximately 10” in diameter (26 cm). A beautiful piece of traditional copper cookware with a substantial copper body, brass-toned handle and classic riveted construction.
The underside is clearly stamped “BAZAR FRANÇAIS NEW YORK ‘666’” and marked “26” near the handle, corresponding to its approximately 26 cm diameter.
The pan has wonderful naturally aged character, with warm copper tones, oxidation, surface marks and patina throughout. The interior shows considerable darkening and wear consistent with age and use. It has not been polished or restored and is being offered in its found condition. Because of the age and condition of the interior lining, it is sold as vintage cookware/decor and should be professionally evaluated or retinned before being used for cooking.
A striking piece for a French country, European farmhouse, rustic kitchen, old-world culinary or collected copper aesthetic. Beautiful displayed hanging from a pot rack or incorporated into a collection of antique copper cookware.
Approximate diameter: 10” / 26 cm
Please review photos carefully for condition and patina. Cooking use subject to evaluation/retinning.
