Vintage Augarten 5849 Bunte Chinoiserie Ashtray/Trinket Dish Wein Porcelain 3¾\" For Sale

This item is being sold for the employee appreciation fund at thecontinuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with myhusband.All items are donated by the residents of the community andthe net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually tothe wonderful staff who help the many elderly residents here.I willgive all the information I can about each item, but I am not the originalowner.

One of ourresidents lived in Vienna in the 1980s and she collected Augarten Pattern5849 “Bunte Chinoiserie” (Colorful Chinoiserie) Wein Vienna Porcelain. They are a vibrant East Asian-inspired floraland figural design accented with real gold trim. Some of her pieces were from the 1980s whenshe lived there, others are antique pieces from the 1920s that she eitherpurchased or received as gifts. She hasrecently moved to Assisted Living and has had to further downsize so has graciouslydonated several of these pieces.

I have here aVintage 1980s Augarten 5849 “Bunte Chinoiserie” Ashtray/Trinket Dish Wein ViennaPorcelain. This delicate dish (the original owner called it an ashtray butcould have several uses!), is about 3¾” square with scalloped gold rimmed edges. It is a BEAUTIFUL, simply elegant porcelain piecein EXCELLENT GENTLY USED CONDITION!! Onthe back is “Wien” and the logo in blue, “AUGARTEN WIEN AUSTRIA” and handpainted “110 5849 182”.
