Vintage mid-century Harmony House pull-down ceiling light with a wide painted-glass UFO shade, green and gold starburst decoration, and detailed brass-tone metalwork. Most of the pendant body is glass, including the broad upper shade and the section visible beneath the openwork gallery—far more substantial than the simpler metal-topped saucer lights commonly found.
Dimensions: approximately 17–17.5 inches wide, with a shade height of approximately 3.5 inches. The fixture measures approximately 21.5 inches from the ceiling canopy to the lower edge of the shade trim and 24.5 inches from the canopy to the lowest point.
The pierced gallery features repeating floral and scroll designs, complemented by a ribbed pull-down counterweight and matching ceiling canopy. Three light sockets illuminate the broad shade from within.
Made for Sears under its Harmony House line, this is an uncommon version of the classic 1950s–1960s flying-saucer pendant. It would work especially well above a dining table, kitchen island, bar, or in a mid-century living room.
The shade displays beautifully, with no cracks extending across its visible surface. Fine hairlines are present around the center opening but cannot be felt from the surface. The metal retains an aged brass finish with light wear and patina. Please review the photographs closely for condition details.
The older wiring should be inspected or replaced by a qualified electrician before installation. Professional installation is recommended for all vintage lighting.
