Original vintage Soviet tank crew work suit, consisting of matching black cotton jacket and trousers.Introduced for Soviet armoured crews in the 1970s, this is the lightweight black cotton tanker uniform rather than the padded winter tanker suit. The jacket retains the distinctive black-and-gold tank insignia on the chest.Exceptional heavily worn and naturally faded condition. The original black cotton has developed a beautiful uneven charcoal / graphite finish with pronounced fading, abrasion and traces of use throughout. The set has the character of genuine utilitarian workwear rather than deadstock military clothing.Jacket features two chest pockets, concealed button front and original tanker insignia. Trousers have a high waist, side adjustment buckles and large flap pockets.Vintage used condition with substantial fading, wear, marks, small areas of damage and age-related imperfections throughout.
