Vintage Antique Loetz Crete Papillon 17 3/4” X 8 5/8” Glass Trumpet Vase For Sale

A spectacular large what I believe is a Loetz Austria studio art glass vase, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and luminous iridescent effects for which Loetz glass is renowned. This impressive vase is executed in an elegant tall trumpet form, with a gracefully elongated body rising from a rounded foot and culminating in a dramatically flared rim. The surface displays a vibrant and richly varied blue-green yellow purple iridescent ground, beautifully enhanced by a pattern that creates remarkable depth and movement throughout the glass. The coloration transitions subtly from deep, saturated blue purple tones toward the lower portion of the vase to yellow gold to green/turquoise hues around the upper body and rim. The changing colors and shimmering surface create a particularly captivating effect as the vase is viewed from different angles or illuminated by natural light.

Adding further interest to the design is a raised applied decorative element that encircles the lower neck, providing a subtle sculptural contrast to the fluid patterns of the iridescent glass. Excellent condition except one tiny shallow chip on the rim. Sold as is
