This is a wonderful vintage Abercrombie & Fitch / The London Owl Company Aviator Owl, standing approximately 18 inches tall.
This highly detailed character owl is dressed as an early aviator/pilot, complete with a brown flight jacket with shearling-style collar, flight helmet, white scarf, blue trousers and black boots. He is holding his original green “Flight Log Book,” a particularly charming detail.
The owl’s face is beautifully created from individually arranged natural-looking feathers in shades of brown, cream and white, with large dimensional eyes and a small beak.
Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with age-related wear. The original aviator goggles are missing. There is some wear to the clothing and accessories consistent with age, including wear to the flight jacket and helmet. The jacket doesn’t not zip up. Please look closely at all photos as they are an important part of the condition description.
Measures approximately 18” tall.
