Vintage #8 Griswold 1278 Cast Iron Tite Top Dutch Oven Self Basting Lid Restored For Sale

This cast iron Dutch oven & lid have been completely restored. They have been stripped down to bare metal using a lye / vinegar bath and gently scrubbed. They were then reseasoned multiple times with Crisco in an oven. This Dutch oven and lid are ready for many more years of use or for display. It has no breaks, cracks, or major damage. Dutch oven has no pitting on the cook surface. Dutch oven has zero rock / wobble and absolutely no spin when placed on a flat surface. Discoloration marks are from the seasoning process and not flaws in the metal.
