PREP:All I did to this was with one of those cans of air used to clean computers I blew out the inside of the case, as you can see in the photos you may be able to clean it up some more, the outside, I didn\'t want to put any product or even water on it so it just got dusted off. As far as the Razor, it got a bath in some warm water and Dawn.
ITEM DETAILS:My research shows this is a 1946-1947 manufacturedGillette Aristocrat Razor. The Un-Notched Center bar inside razor was changed in 1948.ALL Gillette Aristocrat Razors in 1946 and 1947 were 24k Gold plated.Construction was Brass, then Nickel plated then 24K Gold Plated over the Nickel. However please reconfirm with your own research.
Condition:This one has been well used but still functions as designed. The Blade Holder should have an inner part that is missing on this one.The five razor blades that were in it when I acquired it are date coded 1979. They will be included. The \"Leather\" or \"Leather-like\" material on the case is dried out. The case does not stay closed all the way. There is a \"pull\" or \"run\" in the interior material in the lid.PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Razor shows some \"silver\" color around the turning knob and in a few other spots as well, this is the nickel showing through where the gold has wore off.
I try to give a good description so you can offer with confidence but no body is perfect.SO as in all cases: The photos are part of the description! Look over the Photos, any questions please ask before buying as with any item(s) please zoom up and notice condition.
Thank you for Looking.
I am downsizing so things will be priced to sell! Will be listing parts, hardware, HVAC, electrical, tools, garage items, man cave, steampunk, old vintage bits and pieces, swap meet stuff.....I will combine shipping. Fastest way and to ensure you get the items is to just buy them. I will see they were bought by the same person and I will refund any overages in shipping, usually the same day if not by the next. You can also send me a message to confirm. Look at my response, I have done this many times and I am not going to ruin my rating for a one time grab of a few shipping dollars.
I use recycled shipping materials when feasible and I reserve the right to switch shippers to enhance service as I have seen as much as 6 days difference in est delivery dates. If this is an issue, you MUST let me know when you buy the item(s) as there is little I can do after they are on their way.
Thank you for looking.Stocking Code: ARC 1
