Vintage 1996 International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local Union No. 688 Christmas commemorative ice bucket.
A really neat piece of St. Louis-area Teamsters and organized labor history. The front features the classic International Brotherhood of Teamsters horses-and-wheel emblem along with:
TEAMSTERS
LOCAL UNION NO. 688
Happy Holidays
Christmas 1996
The bucket also identifies Local 688 officers and executive board members from the period, including Secretary-Treasurer Joseph A. Galli and President Rich Schildknecht.
Features a deep blue exterior with white and gold accents, clear swing carrying handle, removable white lid, and gold-tone ring pull.
The bottom is molded MADE IN USA.
This example has been exceptionally well preserved and appears to have seen little, if any, actual use. The interior is extremely clean. Exterior graphics remain bright and attractive. No cracks, chips, breaks, or repairs observed. Only minimal signs of storage/handling consistent with age.
Approximate measurements:
10” tall to top edge of bucket
11.5” tall to lid ring/pull
8” diameter
A distinctive piece for a collector of Teamsters memorabilia, labor union history, St. Louis memorabilia, vintage barware, or 1990s commemorative advertising pieces.
