Vintage 1996 Robin Chlad Mini Luminaria Ornaments Terracotta Pottery Pair 3.75”
Wonderful pair of vintage miniature Robin Chlad terracotta pottery luminaria/ornament figures, dating to 1996.
These whimsical Southwestern-inspired figures are handmade from warm terracotta clay with colorful hand-painted details in turquoise, aqua, purple, white and other accents. Each has pierced/cutout designs through the body as well as a small opening near the top.
The pierced designs allow light to shine beautifully through the figures when placed over a small battery-operated candle, creating the appearance of Robin Chlad’s larger luminaria/votive candle covers. The small opening at the top also allows the pieces to potentially be displayed as hanging ornaments.
One figure is clearly impressed Robin Chlad and dated 1996. The second one is not visibly marked.
Two small battery-operated disposable candles are included with the pair so they can be displayed illuminated if desired. Please see photos for an example of how they look when lit.
These miniature approximately 3.75”versions appear to be much less commonly encountered than Robin Chlad’s larger luminaria pieces.

Very good vintage condition. No obvious chips, cracks or repairs observed. Hand-painted decoration remains colorful and attractive.
