Vintage 1992 Mariposa Brillante Hand-Cast Aluminum Coastal Sea Life Serving PlatterBeautiful Vintage 1992 Mariposa Brillante Cast Aluminum Serving Platter. This Stunning, heavy-duty 14" piece features an intricately embossed, high-relief border showcasing classic ocean motifs: seahorses, starfish, sand dollars, and sea kelp. Individually hand-sandcast from 100% recycled aluminum in Mexico, no two Mariposa pieces are exactly identical, giving this tray a unique, artisanal character.Fully marked on the reverse side with the stamped "© 1992 MARIPOSA" hallmark. It also retains its original blue oval distribution sticker reading "Gloucester, MA - Mariposa - Made in Mexico.Unlike sterling silver, sandcast aluminum never tarnishes and holds its temperature beautifully. You can chill this platter in the refrigerator for cold appetizers or warm it in the oven up to 350°F to keep hot dishes serving-ready.Good vintage condition. The platter shows light, normal signs of previous serving use, including faint hairline utensil marks and minor surface scuffs in the center basin.
