Vintage 1990s Benza Aluminum and Steel Mutant Vase by Giovanni Pellone MOMA For Sale

Vintage ca.1998 Benza Mutant Vase designed by Giovanni Pellone. Made in the USA from an anodized aluminum vessel wrapped in a galvanized slinky style steel coil. The flexible outer coil can be reshaped by hand, allowing the vase to take on a variety of sculptural forms while the rigid aluminum interior remains watertight. Signed “benza new york” on the base. Last picture shows the original editorial image from the 90s.Includes the original Benza box and insert. Unused new old stock with wear to the box and light patina/corrosion throughout the metal from storage. Please see pictures.Listing is for one vase.
