A wonderful vintage (1990) large, turquoise and tan hand-molded ceramic pottery sculpture figure portraying a mother surrounded by (5) children by deceased (2002) Navajo artist Jack Black. This piece features a large, hooded mother figure in a turquoise matte finish with a separate child reaching up on the side, representing the classic “Room for One More” sculptural theme. Signed by the artist on the bottom as shown. Pieces such as this (1990) were crafted and hand signed directly by Black prior to his passing in 2002 and are highly sought after as such. This piece was poured, hand-detailed, fired and glazed at JB’s Sedona studio.
Excellent vintage condition (36 years old) and is ready to display and enjoy!
