Vintage West African knife with decorative leather sheath, personally purchased by me in Ivory Coast, West Africa in 1987.
Features a leather-wrapped handle with contrasting bands and coordinating fringed leather sheath with braided hanging loop. Blade bears a partially legible maker’s mark; see close-up photo.
Shows considerable authentic age and wear from nearly 40 years of storage, including oxidation and discoloration to the blade and wear, scuffing and deterioration to portions of the leather. Sold as a vintage collectible/display piece. Please review all photos carefully for condition and measurements.
