Lights, Camera, Donald!
This colorful vintage Walt Disney Donald Duck figurine dates to 1987 and celebrates the magic of Hollywood and Disney's MGM Studios.
Donald is dressed for show business, wearing a stylish black top hat with a blue band, a bright yellow jacket, red vest, and oversized white shoes. In his hands, he holds a movie clapperboard bearing the original Disney MGM Studios logo.
Made in Japan, this charming glazed ceramic figurine carries the original © 1987 Disney Japan identification on the underside, along with its original Disney retail price sticker of $9.95.
An interesting piece of Disney history, particularly since Disney-MGM Studios at Walt Disney World did not officially open until May 1, 1989 — two years after this figurine was copyrighted.
It stands approximately 4-1/4" and is in excellent condition.
Thanks for looking.
