Up for sale is a fantastic vintage lot of three (3) original souvenir excursion train tickets issued by The Bellefonte Historical Railroad Society (BHRS) in Centre County, Pennsylvania. This historical ephemera group tracks the society's mid-1980s passenger operations out of the historic Bellefonte terminal.
The lot includes:
1. Two (2) Matching 1985 Tickets: Printed on off-white cardstock for a route from Bellefonte to Unionville, Pa. (Adult Fare $3.00). Both display a stamped date of August 24, 1985, a handwritten departure time of "1 pm," and a graphic of a vintage Budd Rail Diesel Car (RDC). Both include authentic conductor hole punches.
2. One (1) 1986 Illustrative Ticket: Features a beautifully detailed front-end graphic of a classic diesel locomotive. It is stamped for an Adult fare on June 1, 1986, for the 1:00 PM departure, with ink-checked selection boxes and an official conductor punch.
The reverse sides are clean and unprinted. The 1986 ticket shows some light, natural water-staining/toning along the bottom reverse corner margin as pictured, which does not impact the illustrated front side.
