Vintage 1981 rainbow-design lunchbox with matching insulated bottle/thermos and purple screw-on cup, offered together as pictured. The molded plastic lunchbox is light lavender with a contrasting yellowed carry handle; the coordinating cream-and-lavender thermos has the same rainbow graphic.
The lunchbox reads “this is my very own rainbow” and “it goes wherever I go” and bears a © 1981 ROACH, INC. copyright marking on the graphic. This is the graphic copyright, not a confirmed maker’s mark for the molded lunchbox or thermos.
Includes: (1) lavender plastic lunchbox with yellowed handle and front latch, (2) matching white/cream insulated bottle with lavender base, and (3) its lavender screw-on drinking cup/cap, exactly as shown.
Condition: Vintage preowned condition with visible surface scratches, scuffs, handling marks and areas of discoloration. The plain reverse side shows scuffs and faint ring marks. Please note the chipped area on the rear corner of the lunchbox near the hinge, where a small piece of plastic is missing; see the close-up condition photograph. The inside of the lunchbox shows spots/marks consistent with use and age. Graphics remain colorful. The latch and handle are present; no leakproof, insulation-retention, or food-use testing has been performed. Please review all photos for actual condition and included parts. Sold as a vintage collectible.
