The Regent Hong Kong opened in 1980 on the Kowloon waterfront overlooking Victoria Harbour and became one of Hong Kong’s best-known luxury hotels. The property operated under the original Regent name until 2001, when it was rebranded as the InterContinental Hong Kong.
Elegant burgundy, cream and metallic-silver/gold-tone presentation with the classic stylized Regent “R” logo. The interior retains its impressive bank of wooden matches with red tips, which appear unused/unstruck.
This example appears consistent with the hotel’s original 1980s Regent International era; an exact production year is not printed on the matchbook.
