Wonderful matching set of vintage Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck oversized “big fig” decorative sculptures, believed to date to the 1980s.Donald is depicted in his classic sailor outfit, seated beside a large suitcase. Scrooge McDuck wears his red coat and top hat and is posed with his cane and suitcase. These characterful, hand-finished pieces have an early folk-art appearance and make an impressive display together.A first-generation-style “big fig” sculptures constructed from a combination of resin, papier-mâché and/or plaster-type materials. they resemble figures associated with the style of Stefan Toth; however, no signature, manufacturer’s label or licensed-foundry marking has been located. They are therefore being sold as unsigned decorative sculptures, with no claim that they are documented Stefan Toth originals.Approximate measurements:• Donald Duck: 20 inches tall × 14 inches wide
