Vintage 1980s BSA Leader Uniform Shirt & Red Wool Beret Medium Cleveland OH Set For Sale

This is an exceptionally well-preserved, authentic 1980s Boy Scouts of America adult leader uniform grouping from the Greater Cleveland Council (Ohio). The centerpiece of this historical set is a classic tan short-sleeve uniform shirt adorned with an impressive array of original period patches. The left sleeve features a vintage Greater Cleveland Council shoulder strip, a 25-year veteran unit bar, Troop 662 red felt numbers, and an adult "Trained" patch, while the right sleeve proudly displays a 1987 Quality Unit patch. Above the pockets sit highly collectible adult leadership insignias, including the Scouter's Key knot and the discontinued Scoutmaster Award of Merit knot. The right pocket features a classic Cuyahoga Lodge 17 pocket flap, complete with an Arrow of Light knot sewn beneath it. Notably, the left shoulder retains its original red grosgrain Leadership Corps slip-on epaulet band, accurately dating this uniform config to a unique era of BSA history.
Complementing the shirt is an official BSA 100% pure wool red beret, complete with its original embroidered gold-on-red Fleur-de-lis hat patch. The beret is in remarkable vintage condition, showing zero signs of common moth damage, fading, or sweatband flaking, with the interior Supply Division tag fully intact and legible (Size Medium, 6 7/8 - 7). The uniform shirt is equally excellent and free of heavy wear, with the only notable blemish being a small set of marks/stains on the upper back fabric (see photos). This completely intact, beautifully preserved regional grouping is a fantastic addition for any serious Scouting archivist or Ohio history collector.
