Vintage 1973 NASA Skylab II & 3 Mission Patches Lot of 2 Original Cloth Back For Sale

Up for sale is a set of 2 authentic, vintage 1973 NASA Skylab program mission patches. These are true vintage originals featuring the period-accurate soft gauze/cloth mesh backing with exposed bobbin threads (manufactured by Lion Brothers / AB Emblem during the launch era). They are completely pliable with no modern plastic or iron-on backings.

This 2-piece lot features:

• Skylab II / Skylab 3 Crew Patch (Bean, Garriott, Lousma): Features the famous, highly collectible "Skylab II" Roman numeral numbering mix-up on the front design, along with the distinct Lion Brothers backing thread patterns.
• Skylab 3 / Skylab 4 Crew Patch (Carr, Gibson, Pogue): The unique triangular design representing the final crewed mission to the station.

Both patches are in excellent vintage condition. Slight fiber-fraying and age-related surface adhesive residue visible on back of the Skylab II patch. The residue can be seen on front - see photo. The Skylab 3 patch has a little place on front where the blue thread is fraying. See photo. Approx measurements: 3” diameter
