Hand-written in ink on the back is "Bogota Colombia / August 1973", precisely dating its travel history to over 50 years ago. Hand-carved solid tropical hardwood with deeply chiseled geometric eye recesses, angular nose, stylized modern brow, and strong linear mouth accents.
