Description:
Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic mid-century modern Japanese porcelain tea set, manufactured during the 1970s to early 1980s. This elegant 5-piece set showcases a classic minimalist aesthetic, featuring a clean melon-style ribbed pattern in brilliant white porcelain, paired beautifully with its original traditional woven rattan/bamboo overhead handle.
This specific set is an exceptional find for serious collectors because it still retains its original, vintage gold foil manufacturer\'s seal intact on the bottom of the teapot. The label features the distinctive \"D\" logo alongside the kanji characters 「達利」, identifying the exact artisan production line as \"Tatsuri Japan\". While distributed globally by the famous Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC) during the 1970/1980 era, these delicate export stickers were routinely washed off or peeled away by original owners, making an intact seal highly rare today.
The teapot features an authentic period design with an integrated, built-in ceramic mesh pocket strainer directly behind the spout to effortlessly catch loose tea leaves.
