$550.00

Vintage 1970s Navajo Sterling Silver & Turquoise Bolo Tie Signed DB Unused WOW!Overview:Up for sale is an exceptional piece of native American wearable art in absolutely immaculate, museum-grade condition. This vintage 1970s Navajo sterling silver bolo tie features a beautiful, dimensional shadowbox slide decorated with intricate hand-stamped leaf and scrollwork motifs. It features three vibrant, vertically set natural turquoise cabochons with gorgeous, dark natural matrix character.
This piece was sourced directly from the original owner’s private collection. It has spent its entire life carefully stored away from light and humidity and has never been worn.
Artisan Hallmark & Age:• Maker’s Mark: Stamped clearly with the block initials "DB" on the reverse side—the recorded hallmark for master Navajo (Diné) silversmiths active during the mid-to-late 20th-century boom (such as Dean Brown / Douglas Begay).
• Clasp Mechanism: Equipped with the authentic vintage flip-down locking lever slide mechanism, helping securely date this masterwork firmly to the 1970s.Condition Report:• Silver/Stone Slide: Flawless. The turquoise stones are secure with zero cracks, chips, or stabilization issues. The sterling features a gorgeous, deep natural patina highlighting the recessed areas of the leaf engravings. Note: The silver has purposefully NOT been aggressively machine-polished or dipped to fully preserve the rich, historical oxidation that collectors demand.
• Leather Cord: Immaculate "deadstock" condition. Because it has never been worn, the hand-braided black leather cord is free from the typical cracking, stiffening, fraying, stretching, or skin-oil discoloration common in estate jewelry. It remains completely supple and structurally perfect.
• Silver Tips: Both traditional sterling silver aiguillettes (tips) are pristine, securely attached, and free from dents or damage.
Approximate Measurements:• Slide Dimensions: Measures approximately 1 3/4 inch length by 1 1/2 inch across At the widest part. • Total Cord Length (End to End): approximately 35” total length• Weight: slide approximately 26 grams total weight]Shipping & Handling:Will be shipped securely packaged in a sturdy box (never a bubble mailer) to protect the silver slide and prevent the leather cord from bending or crimping in transit.
