This appears to be a vintage hobby-ceramic mold piece, the type commonly purchased as greenware and hand-painted in ceramic studios or at home. Similar examples of this Persian cat/yarn design have been dated to the 1970s, including examples dated 1977.
The glossy white cat has wonderful molded fur texture, expressive amber/golden eyes, painted lashes and whiskers, pink ear details, burgundy paw pads, and pretty baby-blue accents.
Condition: Great vintage condition with no major damage noted. There is crazing to the glaze consistent with age as well as a few small dark/black specks or marks. These may be paint or imperfections from the original hand-finishing process. Please see photos closely for condition and details.
Measures approximately 10" long x 6" tall.
