Some of these Singer Featherweight sewing machines are listed as white color, but it is actually a pale celery color. It is very clean and runs smoothly. This Featherweight is not only ideal for collectors but also a convenient portable machine.
This machine appears to have been used very little. My mother got it from a neighbor in the late 1970’s. I don’t think my mother used it at all because she always asked me to do her clothing repairs. My mother gave the sewing machine to me when she retired to Florida in 1983. I have stored it ever since that time. I just recently got it out and had it cleaned and oiled.
There is a small nick in the bed extension maybe from the extension touching the presser foot screw when the extension is folded up. There are also fine scratches on the surface of the base and on the throat plate probably from pins. There are few fine marks along the bottom edge of the base most likely from moving the machine in and out of the case. Other than these minor marks from wear, this machine is very clean.
I haven’t used the attachments, but I researched the number on the box and this set should fit the Singer Featherweight. The buttonholer is also compatible with this machine.
The case is in very good condition with minor wear. A key for the case is included — the key works.
I have included two reproduction manuals.
