Up for sale is a wonderfully unique piece of 1960s/1970s retro barware/tobacciana: the mechanical metal "Smoking Chimney" novelty barbecue grill ashtray (Model No. 5396), stamped in Japan.
This clever desktop accent is designed to look like a classic backyard brick grill station. When in use, smoke from your cigarette draws upward into the copper-tone hood and escapes realistically out of the black smokestack chimney. It features dual side cigarette rests and a removable brick-patterned ash drawer base for easy cleaning.
While the unit appears entirely un-burned and clean on the inside, it does show some exterior shelf and handling wear from storage. It comes accompanied by its rare, original illustrated retail box.

• Model Number: 5396

Condition Report (Please Read Before offerding)
Please review the photos closely to evaluate the exact cosmetic condition of this vintage set:
• Ashtray Unit: The piece is exceptionally clean on the inside with a bright white interior tray showing no signs of actual ash use or cigarette burns. However, the pressed metal copper-tone hood shows some handling wear, including a few small dents, minor dings, and slight corner gap separations from age (see close-up photos).
• Original Box: The rare illustrated box is included. The graphic faces look nice, but please note that one of the internal tuck-in cardboard flaps is missing on the opening end. The remaining flaps still close the box, but it shows typical edge softness and corner wear from storage.
