Vintage 1960s Italian Ceramic Box Mod Girl Portrait Pink Green Mid Century For Sale

This is a charming vintage Italian ceramic trinket or jewellery box featuring a stylized portrait of a fashionable young woman surrounded by loosely painted pink flowers.
The irregularly shaped box has a distinctly Mid-Century Modern appearance, with its elongated triangular form and expressive hand-painted decoration. The young woman is depicted with large almond-shaped eyes, a chic bobbed hairstyle tied with a dramatic black ribbon, and a bright green polka-dot top. Soft washes of pink, grey and mauve create an almost watercolour-like background, giving the piece a particularly whimsical and feminine character.
The underside is stamped:
"Manufactured Exclusively for PresentWare Enterprises – Made in Italy"
It also retains its original triangular silver foil Present-Ware Enterprises Limited label. Most examples of this box can be found bearing Ceramica di Milano labels, suggesting a connection in manufacture or distribution, although this particular example is clearly marked for PresentWare Enterprises.
The fitted lid lifts off to reveal a plain white glazed interior, making the box ideal for jewellery, trinkets or other small treasures. It would also make a wonderful decorative accent for a vanity, dressing table or collection of vintage Italian ceramics.
I would date this piece to the 1960s, based on the highly stylized fashion illustration, colour palette and overall design.
