Vintage 1960s HALCO metal first aid kit in original, well-aged condition. Manufactured by A. E. Halperin Co., Boston, Massachusetts.
This vintage kit includes the original metal carrying case, interior divider, numerous period HALCO-labeled packages, glass bottle, tape and other original-era items, along with vintage first-aid publications. Also included is a Reader’s Digest first-aid guide dated 1966 and a U.S. Department of Agriculture First Aid Guide issued in 1962 and revised in 1963.
The metal case measures approximately 9” x 9” and shows substantial original age, surface oxidation, discoloration and wear consistent with decades of storage and use. The aged condition gives this piece a great vintage industrial character.
A very interesting piece for collectors of vintage medical memorabilia, industrial history, advertising, Americana or 1960s collectibles.
